About J & A Tool
In the spring of 1965, J & A Tool Company was born of humble beginnings in the garage of Jack C. Smith and his wife Audrey. The tool and die company was established to service the plastic injection industry. The company moved out of the garage and into a newly constructed facility in 1968, and then expanded again in 1979. All the while, continuing to add equipment and capabilities.
In 1991, Jack's son, Jack "Lee" Smith bought the company and continued operations, designing and building complex close tolerance tools and injection molds for a diverse array of industries.
Circumstances surrounded by the economic environment of 2008 led the company to switch gears and focus less on tool & die and more on general machining. Since then, the company has continued to expand the facility and add equipment.
In 2013, Lee retired. His wife Cyndi, along with sons Steve & Charlie carry on the family run business.
J & A Tool Company celebrates its 50th year anniversary in 2015. With roots in precision tool & die, J & A Tool continues to excel in specialized machining and engineering. Always striving for excellence and to exceed customer expectations.
